Advantix 1ml 4-10kg Dog External Parasite Spot-On: Broad-Spectrum and Effective Protection

Dogs are vulnerable to discomfort and diseases caused by external parasites. Fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, and sandflies not only cause itching and skin irritation but can also transmit serious diseases (such as Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, leishmaniasis, heartworm, etc.). Advantix 1ml 4-10kg Dog External Parasite Spot-On is an effective, broad-spectrum, and long-lasting spot-on treatment specially formulated for dogs weighing between 4 and 10 kg. Thanks to its active ingredients, Imidacloprid and Permethrin, it provides both killing and repellent (anti-feeding) effects against parasites.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Fast and Effective Against Fleas: Kills 98-100% of fleas within 12 hours of application and provides protection against flea infestations for 4 weeks. It also aids in the treatment and control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).

  • Tick Control: Works against ticks within 48 hours and offers both therapeutic and protective effects against tick infestations for 4 weeks. It repels and kills ticks, thereby reducing the risk of transmitting tick-borne diseases like Lyme disease.

  • Mosquito and Sandfly Repellent Effect: Especially important in warmer climates, it provides a repellent (anti-feeding) effect against mosquitoes (Culicoides spp.) and sandflies (Phlebotomus papatasi, Phlebotomus perniciosus) for 2 to 4 weeks. This plays a vital role in preventing mosquito/sandfly-borne diseases like leishmaniasis.

  • Biting Lice Control: Effectively controls biting lice on dogs.

  • Water-Resistant Formula: The efficacy of the product largely remains even if your dog gets wet. However, intense and prolonged exposure to water should be avoided, or re-application can be done after a 7-day interval if necessary. If bathing with shampoo, it's recommended to do so before applying the spot-on or at least two weeks after.

  • Easy Application: Thanks to the practical pipette form, application is very simple. It is typically applied between the dog's shoulder blades or along the back line in several spots.

  • Wide Safety Margin: It is a safe product when used under veterinary supervision. It can be used in pregnant and lactating female dogs.

How to Use?

Advantix 1ml 4-10kg should only be applied topically (spot-on) to the skin and only to undamaged skin.

  • Preparation: Remove one pipette from the package. Hold the pipette upright, twist, and pull off the cap. Invert the cap and use it to twist off the seal on the pipette tip.

  • Application:

    • While the dog is standing, part the fur between the shoulder blades until the skin is visible.

    • Place the tip of the pipette on the skin and squeeze the contents directly onto the skin several times until the pipette is empty.

    • It is recommended to apply at the base of the skull to minimize the possibility of the dog licking the product.

    • If more than one application spot is required, the solution should be evenly distributed along the back line from the shoulders to the base of the tail in a few spots. Avoid applying an excessive amount of solution to any single spot.

  • Dosage: A single 1ml pipette is sufficient for dogs weighing between 4-10 kg.

  • Application Frequency: Generally, a monthly application is recommended. However, your veterinarian may adjust the frequency of application depending on parasite intensity or your dog's specific condition. An interval of at least 7 days must be respected between two applications.

Who Is It Suitable For?

  • Dogs weighing between 4 and 10 kg.

  • Puppies older than 7 weeks and weighing more than 1.5 kg.

  • Dogs needing protection from fleas, ticks, mosquitoes, sandflies, and lice.

  • Dogs suffering from Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD).

  • Pregnant and lactating bitches (with veterinary advice).

Important Warnings and Contraindications

  • Should not be used on puppies younger than 7 weeks or weighing less than 1.5 kg.

  • Should not be applied to dogs with known hypersensitivity to the active substances or excipients in the product.

  • Do not apply to debilitated or sick dogs.

  • Do not apply to areas other than healthy skin, such as eyes or mouth.
